Preliminary Investigation Towards Embedded Impedance Spectroscopy in Implanted Stimulators

Abstract

This paper presents a preliminary study of impedance spectroscopy compatible with cardiac pacing implants, for the long-term monitoring of the fibrosis around electrodes. The multisine broadband technique have been implemented successfully in a characterization bench centered on a typical neuro-stimulator, with a high level of precision in measuring impedance of cardiac cells in vitro.
