Wood retification: simulation of an industrial kiln.
Résumé
Retification is a mild pyrolysis which preserves and dimensionally stabilise wood, without any external chemicals. Process simulation will be a powerful tool to optimise current prototype and industrial kilns. It is first needed to better understand and model pyrolysis reactions during retification.
