PS3M: integrative Modelling Environment to support PSS design

Abstract : Despite lots of advances on PSS design methods over the past ten years, this paper states that their larger use in industrial context remains confronted to a lack of integration among the diversity of methods and tools available and among the variety of concepts covered by PSS design. The paper aims at presenting a modelling approach and tool dedicated to PSS design which intends to contribute to a higher integration, starting with a first level of conceptual integration. The P3SM tool is presented and its utilization is illustrated by a real industrial case study in the context of industrial robotics. A discussion on the added-value of the modelling approach and on further perspectives is developed.
