Chasing the Impacts of RFID Implementation

Abstract : RFID technologies are being implemented in more and more contexts, mainly for traceability and optimization purposes. Studies using different approaches aim at predicting feasibility of a solution, how it may modify the processes in a production chain, impacts of enhanced traceability and/or possibility of new uses made possible by those technologies. This poster describes a conceptual model based on multi-level simulation to observe the impacts of introducing RFID devices in a general context. This model is illustrated with the particular case of a study leaning on the observation of pilot plants in cryo-conservation centers.
