Chasing the Impacts of RFID Implementation
Abstract
RFID technologies are being implemented in more and more contexts, mainly for traceability and optimization purposes. Studies using different approaches aim at predicting feasibility of a solution, how it may modify the processes in a production chain, impacts of enhanced traceability and/or possibility of new uses made possible by those technologies. This poster describes a conceptual model based on multi-level simulation to observe the impacts of introducing RFID devices in a general context. This model is illustrated with the particular case of a study leaning on the observation of pilot plants in cryo-conservation centers.
