Experimental study and modeling of the wood retification process.

Abstract : In order to optimize the retification process, we have studied the influence of main treatment parameter with a small instrumented gas-convected reactor. The kinetics of production of gases are followed by coupling this reactor with a FTIR spectrometer. In parallel, preponderant phenomena are modelled by using DSS/2, a dynamic simulation code. Numerical and experimental results are compared.
