Methods for decision making in design of multiposition equipment

Abstract

The article deals with methods for determining the design of process parameters on the machining production lines with blocks of parallel operations: the number of workstations on the line and the number of blocks of operations at each station; partitioning a given set of operations for stations and units. Methods based on graph theory, the theory of mixed linear programming (SLP) and heuristic approaches. The first group of methods reduce the original design problem to finding the optimal path in a special limited acyclic digraph. For the second group of methods developed special algorithms to significantly reduce the size of the PSL model. Heuristic methods for developing a well-known method COMSOAL, as well as the use of combined approaches based on a combination of the first two groups with the decomposition of the original problem.
