Solution methods for a multi-product lot-sizing and sequencing problem in a flow-shop

Résumé

This paper deals with the multi-product lot-sizing and sequencing problem under uncertainties. The production line considered contains several machines placed sequentially (a flow-shop). It is assumed that each machine can process defective items (yield for each product is random), also it can breakdown. The time between breakdowns and repair times are also random. Set-up times are incurred before changing the type of product to manufacture. The goal of our approach is to maximize the probability of satisfying demands of all products, taking into account uncertainties and limited production time.
